Transgressions Morality
I am a fine artist making sculpture and drawing.

Recently I have been making wooden structures based on the cube.

The cube represents solidity; an ability to be relied on or depended upon.

It is a manmade framework; a piece of architecture or a moral code.

These constructions interplay with delicate threads, representing the intricate nature of human beings.

Layers and fibers; emotional and physical strands; interlinked and interwoven.

Linen threads connect to the woven fabric; drawn out little pieces of human into the framework.

Fastenings securing pulled tight. Steel inserted into wood.

Thread is tightly attached to steel, which fixes to wood; bolted, ridged, tensioned.

Text is an extension of thought and being; a way of expression and communication.

Written communication conveys who we are and what we do.

Our moral codes are written; to pass from one generation to another.

Newspapers; human stories; intrigue. It is natural that the words that influence me go into the work.
